Quarter finals in Basel
23.10.2008 | Tennis
Roger has made it through to the round of the last eight at his home tournament in Basel.
A good performance in two tie-breaks was just right for our champ to defeat Finland's Jarkko Nieminen 7-6(6), 7-6(1).
Roger had to work rather hard in both sets and also faced breaks by his opponent. But he was there when it really mattered, especially during the tie-break of the second set, only dropping one single point to Nieminen.
Our two-time defending champion now meets Simone Bolelli of Italy who beat Marcel Granollers 6-4 6-2.

Now Tilou is going to mail the cho wrapped in bubble. You deserved it!!
I just got to watch the last two games on Justin TV. Looks like it was a fairly routine match, right?
***Tilou, Guess you're out that Villars!
Cheers,
MC

One more hold, or another break? As you determine, my son.
tTilou you can start packing the choco to be sent to Rogie.
GO ROGIE GO
I agree, Roger is pretty selfish and he will want the whole bar. I hope he likes Villars.
