Quarter finals in Basel

23.10.2008 | Tennis

Roger has made it through to the round of the last eight at his home tournament in Basel.

A good performance in  two tie-breaks was just right for our champ to defeat Finland's Jarkko Nieminen 7-6(6), 7-6(1).

Roger had to work rather hard in both sets and also faced breaks by his opponent. But he was there when it really mattered, especially during the tie-break of the second set, only dropping one single point to Nieminen.

Our two-time defending champion now meets Simone Bolelli of Italy who beat Marcel Granollers 6-4 6-2.

I may be wrong, but shouldn't that point have gone to Roger? Didn't Bolelli challenge the overrule? In which case, if he's wrong, the point should be awarded to the other player.

how different is that fh when he jumps up and when he does not. so much difference between the angle that how he hits the ball from above i mean how much above he hits and the ball bounced with so much power and higher which is unhandleable. and when does
