Roger loses first match

Andy Murray has beaten Roger 4-6, 6-2, 7-6(6) to reach the final of the World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi. Roger won the first set but Murray bounced back to complete the victory and set up a final against Nikolay Davydenko or Rafael Nadal.

"It's been a great start but unfortunately I couldn't come through in the end," said Roger. "But Andy's had a fantastic end to the year and he looks in great shape again."

Roger was happy to get a hard match at the start of his season and, despite last year not being his best, he would take the same again for 2009. "Hopefully I can just have another terrible year with only just the one grand slam and that will be just fine."

And let me get one more thing right, I don't count your sucess in terms of wins and loses. Its your attitude that matters. In the past, a loss was much more frightening than a win. People felt fear thinking what would you do to them if they beat you. But

It's strange that the same people in here who called themselves "fans" were condemning Roger before the US Open last year saying that he was a goner before he even picked up his racket...and when he won it, wooooo you should see the praises come in...and

Great to see you back on court, Roger! Looks like it's kinda hard to live up to the expectations of all your fans in here but I thought you were actually enjoying yourself out there.

People tend to forget this was an exhibition and it was impossible

Hey RF fans, did you see Nadal play .. he ended his year with a defeat by Murray and began the year with a another defeat by Murray. What's up with the new #1.. he was struggling. That's just fine with me.

I agree 100% with you , Roger has to start realising that he is getting old , and that he has to rejuvenate his game and his fitness regimen just like agassi did when he was getting older , before it's too late or else :
