Roger battles into quarters

Roger has moved into the quarterfinals in Indian Wells with a 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 victory over Fernando Gonzalez in 1 hour 50 minutes.

 

Our champ raised his game when he needed to, setting up an encounter with Fernando Verdasco, the 10th seed. Roger cruised through the first set but Gonzalez, unleashing a series of spectacular forehand winners, broke in the 12th game of the second set to force a decider. But Roger then stepped on the gas, breaking in the third game of the third set and then again in the seventh before serving out for victory.

Well,well,well....it looks like u and Nadal will meet in the finals. Plz,plz win!!! It makes me nervous every time u encounter him.Go out and meet him,chin up and put in ur mind "not again Rafa" I'll get u this time!!!!!COME ON ROGER" do it. Beat Nadal!!!

Congrats Roger over your win against Verdasco. Its Murray next so dont worry. Try to keep your first serves in as much as possible. I know you dont require tips from us, but all the best! May you go on to win the title..

Although Roger was not in a very good shape today, but he was still managed to win over Verdasco. I am so happy for him ! I am a bit worry about his health as he seemed a bit slow in his footwork. He is so inconsistent these days. I prey for him everyday.
