Roger played a last match at the first Guinot-Mary Cohr Masters at the Golf & Country Club Paris in Rueil Malmaison three days before the start of Roland Garros. He defeated Stanislas Wawrinka 6-2 and 6-4 in the exhibition in front of around 1'500 spectators.

Roger played an excellent match, clearly dominating his fellow countryman. "I have recovered very well from the final on Sunday and am really happy with my performance here," Roger commented.

When Roger showed that he's playing better in ROME and even much better in Madrid, I knew he can win the title. Although many put credits to Novak's semi-final match again Nadal as the main reason for Roger's win, I beleive he could still win Rafa even if
