A fantastic comeback

Roger once again fought back in impressive manner today, coming back from two sets down against Tommy Haas, finally winning the match 6-7(4), 5-7, 6-4, 6-0 and 6-2.

 

Roger was two sets and 3-4 down facing a break point when he recovered to hold serve and went on to win eight games in a row! He raced to level things up with a 6-0 demolition job in the fourth set and then broke twice in the final set. And with the chance to close out the contest, serving at 5-2 up with a double break, it took Roger just two match points to seal his place in the last-eight as a Haas return went wide at 40-30.

 

The victory was greeted by massive cheers on Philippe Chatrier Court as Roger is the hot favourite to win the title after Rafael Nadal was beaten yesterday. He will face either France's Gaël Monfils or American Andy Roddick on Wednesday.

My feeling was right, when I said it would be less harder than against Haas:)

I must confess that I took a look during the 3rd set, as the result was in Roger's favour... if things started to go badly I would be out of the PC:) But mayb

This is really it isn't it....what we've all been waiting for....It's time for roger to take his rightful place as the GOAT...no more debating now, all of that will soon be pointless

Exactly TriniMum127 - I keep seeing images in my mind of him falling to the ground in happiness winning the finals but I must not get ahead of myself. There is still that SODERLING to beat (most likely) unless that man starts to lose momentum. Del Potro

Such a great win, Roger!! Gotta be a confidence builder. You were beautiful out there. Hope you can relax a bit now and then concentrate on preparing for Friday's match!
