15.08.2009 | Tennis
Roger lost his match against Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarterfinals of the ATP Montreal Masters.
The seventh-seeded Tsonga beat our champ in the tiebreaker for a 7-6 (5), 1-6, 7-6 (3) victory.
Roger had trouble to keep up with Tsonga in the first set and lost the tiebreak. Our champ won the second set clearly.
Roger led the third set 5-1 until Tsonga broke his serve twice. Tsonga took the lead using two aces.
Roger double-faulted on matchpoint and lost his first match after a 22-match winning streak.
