Switzerland takes a 2-0 lead
It took Roger exactly 100 minutes to secure a 6-3, 6-4, 6-1 win over Simone Bolelli (ATP 64) today. He scored the second point for the Swiss team after Stanislas Wawrinka won against Andreas Seppi (ATP 59) 6-4, 6-1, 6-2.
Roger said he felt tired before the match after having come directly from the US Open, but it rarely showed. He did have to save a few break-points but never really got into danger.
The doubles match tomorrow could already be the deciding one in the Davis Cup World Group playoff against Italy in Genoa. The plan is that Roger joins forces with Stan for the match against Fabio Fognini and Potito Starace. If the Swiss team wins the playoff they will retain their place in the World Group but if Italy stage a comeback they will replace the Swiss in the top tier of the competition.

...the whole crowd of the Centro Sportivo Valletta Cambiaso gave Federer a long "standing ovation" for his impressive display which had lasted exactly 100 minutes.
NICE! :D

Smooth win against Bollelli. You amaze me Maestro. You were on hard courts on Monday and you're in a different continent competing on clay on Friday and looking great doing it Simply amazing, more power to you. I loved the Swiss c
