Spain - Switzerland in the first round!

23.09.2009 | Tennis

The draw for the Davis Cup 2010 took place in Geneva today. The result is a pretty tough one for the Swiss Team: they will play Spain in the first round on March 5.-7. next year!

Roger is not able to decide yet whether he will be able to take part in the rubber. One thing is certain though: the draw is terrific for all fans, but an extremely hard one for the team. Spain won the Davis Cup in 2008 and was runner up this year. The last time the two nations played each other was in Geneva in 2007, the guests defeating our team 3:1. It has to be said, though, that nor Roger, Stanislas Wawrinka or Rafael Nadal participated in that round.

The other draws are: France - Germany, Sweden - Argentina, Russia - India, Croatia - Ecuador, Chile - Israel.

Dear Roger...
Without hesitation when God created thinking of giving you all the talent in the world and the universe, giving you a beautiful heart and a clear and pure soul, a spirit of struggle and effort, simply gave you the mission to be an example
