Masters title number 6!

Roger secured a sixth title at the ATP World Tour Finals thanks to a 6-3, 6-7(6), 6-3 victory in a spectacular match against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga !

 

"I couldn't be more happy, I couldn't be more exhausted," Roger said. "I can't be happier with the way the season has finished."

Roger had to overcome a threat from Tsonga in the middle of the match as his opponent broke our champ as he served for the match at a set and 5-4 up. And also later, as Roger was about to wrap up the tie-break, the Frenchman saved a match point before leveling at one set all.

But as in the first set, Roger broke Tsonga again in the eighth game of the decider and made no mistake when he served for the championship for the second time.

With Roger's triumph in his 100th final today he is now also the alone record holder for titles at the ATP World Tour Finals, leaving Ivan Lendl and Pete Sampras behing him. The title today is his 70th career title!

Roger is now off to a well deserved holiday before taking up his training in Dubai.

Roger, Crush your opponents so that your every single player will be SCARED to face U.that's 50% of the battle won at the beginning of the match.
We would to see the classic and dominant Roger blowing all opponents out of the court we are so used to seeing.

No soft approach against the likes of Nadfal,Muuray or Djokovic.I know u can BEAT everyone of these kids.U got to keep believing as u did during the Basel,paris & ATP Tour Finals at london with 17-0 Match winning streak.

Yes, and what an achievement! I felt all along that you would win this tournament. I was aware of Jo's kind of pacing and tactics, and since you know that, too, he couldn't pull another trick out of the bag.
Jo is good, and I must say that all the players are good, but everyone knows that you are far above that, that you are thet touchstone, the gold standard of the game. It is just so exhiliarating that it makes the world a bit of a better place!

Dear Roger-san,

I hope u r totally switched off and not thinking for tennis at the moment.This is important to be fresh for the gruelling season ahead.

Roger, I believe that by now you are on the third day of your grueling summer training in Dubai, I hope everything is flowing and I am sure that nothing is getting out of the plan. best of lucks, train hard, enjoy the holidays and then give the whole tennis world a new demonstration of what you can do. 2012 has your name written all over it, you will have the never acomplished undefeated season and only you will have the right to say that you havent been the greatest ever. always cheering.
