ATP - ROGER DEFEATED IN EPIC FINAL

Roger had to put on hold his quest to match Pete Sampras with 14 Grand Slam singles titles today. He was defeated by Rafael Nadal in another epic five-set final 5-7, 6-3, 6-7(3), 6-3, 2-6.

After 4 hours and 23 minutes on court Roger could not hold back his tears during the prize ceremony, showing how much this title would have meant to him. Our star was trying to equal Pete Sampras' record 14 major titles but has now lost to Nadal the last three times they've met in Grand Slam finals.

There´s nothing we can say to change today´s result, but we hope u feel better knowing that we are all proud of you and we know you do your best. See u play is always a pleasure, we learn of you as a tennis player and as a human been. So the results are always great.

Roger, please don't give up, keep believing and we all know that your 14th Slam is just around the corner. You're definitely the greatest of all-time, always will be. You're the best champion in the whole world and we love you. You played great in the Final, just like the great tennis master you are. Ridiculous, I know, but I cried harder than you did. I'm so sorry you didn't make 14 this time. Rafa was a real gentleman during the ceremony, so at least you didn't lose to a jerk. Good luck next time.

you but on a good show for us today we appriciete the effort and the emotions that came out today showed us how much you wanted to equal pete sampras's record just know you could count on us throughout your career to carry you to the finish line. personally i have been a devoted fan of yours since 2001 and i love you more because of today. we will include you in our prayers and pray that god willing you will cry the same tears when you win your 14th 15th 16th 17th 18th 19th and 20th grand salam titles.

Dear Roger,
It was difficult to see you lose. Many were watching you and could see what a magnificent player you are. It must be very difficult to suffer losses to the same individual but many around the world including myself and even nadal thinks that you're among the greats if not the greatest of all. I know that millions around the world, even players on the tour know you will pass Sampras' record of 14. Many including myself are tired of watching nadal win at Paris. We are all behind you and know you are capable of winning the french. The past is behind you, try to focus on the future. Roger if you read this you might not think much of this and you might think who is this kid trying to tell me what I'm capable of but you will never lose your fans who believe that you are the best. You're a phenomenal role model for millions. Always remember no matter what happens, Roger , you are one of the greatest champions in the history of sports, and nothing could ever erase that. It was an amazing match and an amazing two weeks ... your tenderness today during the awards ceremony was so incredible and touched millions of hearts around the world. We all cried with you just as we all play each shot in every match with you.

Please get more support -- a permanent coach and whoever else can help you see from other perspectives. The mistakes today were not from lack of skill or talent or heart ... we are, sometimes, our own worst enemies.

Bless you Roger for your amazing heart -- right out there for all the world to see and feel with you -- perhaps it will rub off on the world!
