OFF COURT - HELLO FROM ESTORIL

Dear Fans,

Today I arrived in Estoril for my first clay court tournament of the year. I am excited to be playing this tournament for the first time and look forward to playing in front of the portuguese fans. Joining me in Estoril this week will be my fitness trainer, Pierre Paganini and Swiss Davis Cup capt, Severin Luthi will come later in the week from Belarus.

I am also excited as I have asked Jose Higueras, one of the most respected and accomplished coaches in the world of tennis, to join me. Jose has coached many of the games great players including former #1 Jim Courier and Michael Chang. We are going to spend the week together to see if we could make a good team.

I am feeling great, eager and ready for the next several months of tennis in Europe,

Yes news travel fast, and you know on yr website, we are already talking about Higueras teaming up with u during the clay season. Thats really awesome seeing he is a clay court specialist having coached RG champions Chang and Coria. Hope you guys will work well and he can be of help to you to RG Champion of 2008 !!

Hi Roger!

Hope you are well. Great news about teaming up with Mr Higueras. I'm sure you'll make a great team. Good Luck for your clay court season. I will pray for your success and good health. I'm sure you'll win the Estoril Open, Monte Carlo, Hamburg, Rome and the French Open. I know you can do it Roger! I believe in you. Anyway have fun and enjoy your tennis, as isn't that what tennis is supposed to be? Please convey my kind regards to Mirka and your team from a true No 1 Fan.

Have a great start on clay courts Roger.
Its always nice when you go to a new country and people that waited to meet you and enjoy your tennis for so long, can finaly have their dreams coming true.
Buena suerte with jose, maybe next time I meet you you'll speak some spanish.

Wünsche dir ganz viel Glück und Erfolg für Estoril und all die kommenden Turniere! Es wäre dir so zu gönnen, wenn du den Roland Garros-Pokal in die Höhe stemmen könntest... Aber eins nach dem anderen. Hoffe, die Zusammenarbeit mit Higueras fruchtet und du bist wirklich motiviert und "heiss" auf weitere Siege...
