Andy Murray has beaten Roger 4-6, 6-2, 7-6(6) to reach the final of the World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi. Roger won the first set but Murray bounced back to complete the victory and set up a final against Nikolay Davydenko or Rafael Nadal.
"It's been a great start but unfortunately I couldn't come through in the end," said Roger. "But Andy's had a fantastic end to the year and he looks in great shape again."
Roger was happy to get a hard match at the start of his season and, despite last year not being his best, he would take the same again for 2009."Hopefully I can just have another terrible year with only just the one grand slam and that will be just fine."

As you long as you do not allow Murray to get in your head as Nadal is; it will be fine. I just wish you could start having winning streaks against Nadal and Murray. You are the best and should beat these two guys.
happy new year Roger! i must say i am not happy with your start. it is better you lose a match due to opponents strength than to make blatant mistakes all the time(3 forehand misses in the tiebreak) and u were out of shape in the 2nd set. am scared this season might be worse than last. try to prove to ur fans u are the best. i wish you the best, your forever fan

Dear Roger It was great to see you again! You looked good and gave a good fight... almost winning from a seemingly hopeless position. Considering it was just your first match of the season, against a top player who had played a match already and seemed to be taking it more seriously, I don't feel the least bit worried.
